Residential Apartment Block Roof Project – Somerton

A new green roof for this residential apartment block roof project at Somerton in Lucan, Co. Dublin. The roof installation was completed by roofing contractors, C & S Roofing, on behalf of main contractor, D|RES Properties.

This residential development required a waterproofing system for the flat roof surface. Pluvitec Waterproofing System proved to be the perfect choice to complete this impressive residential project.

The Pluvitec roofing system featured here is built up using Pluvitec products which are NSAI certified products backed with a 20-year warranty: Specialtec v2mm VCL, Specialtec v3mm underlay and Maxitec Anti-Root Membrane. The roof build up also includes PIR Tapered Insulation.

Specialtec V 2mm Vapour Control Layer – An APP modified bituminous waterproofing membrane with both composite polyester and fibreglass reinforcements. Used as a vapour control layer on this project.

PIR Tapered Insulation.

Specialtec V 3mm Underlay – An APP modified bituminous waterproofing membrane with both composite polyester and fibreglass reinforcements. Used as an underlay on this project.

Pluvitec MAXITEC Anti-Root Membrane – A pre-fabricated membrane designed for use on structures where vegetation is foreseen to prevent penetration by roots.
